Little Chefs

If your child is a budding Mario, or you think he or she might want to explore in that direction, they’ll love the Playful Chef Kids Cooking Kits (especially the recipe and tools to make the Chocolate Mountain Lava Cakes). These are pretty neat, because in one little backpack comes a slew of fun stuff, including laminated recipe cards, an apron/tool belt, child-sized cooking tools, cups, spoons and bowls. Even better, there is one for kids ages 3-5 and one for 6-10. We like how they have sprinkled in lessons about nutrition, food safety, and measurement. You don’t have to tell the kids that, though. Just keep that part to yourself!

I can’t wait for the day my son learns to cook for me!

My son would love this. We have a little cooking session once a week using recipes he finds in his Highlights magazine. He has an entire basket of cooking materials in our pantry for when he helps us cook.

This is a great idea. My son has a little kitchen and now I can outfit him appropriately!!!
