Moneyology

Now is a very good time to be talking about money, especially with your kids. They may hear bits and bobs about what’s going on in the global financial market from the news, or from conversations you may have with other parents or friends. They may even notice that you’ve been cutting back, and want to understand why. It’s a great opportunity to start teaching them about money - how its made, spent and saved. If armed with these principles throughout their lives, they may just be able to avoid our most recent catastrophe. Moneyology is a great educational resource to help explain some of these concepts to younger children. It is designed for kids from 3 to 7 years old and it teaches all the basics of day to day money use in a visual, fun and entertaining way. This website hosts videos on a wide range of fun and educational topics all related to money. It was founded by serial entrepreneur and educator Alan Wolan, who wanted to find a way to teach his own son about money as he grew older.

On the site you will find a link to purchase the book (it’s 10 bucks) as well as videos. The great news is that they have a “try before you buy” policy, and allow you to flip through the book online before purchasing.
