Remember the hackysack - that little beanbag that you would kick around on your feet? Myachi is kind of like that, and it has gained a cult following in the past few years from people of all ages. We can see why - it is fun for everyone (and teaches good coordination skills at the same time.) We like it because it keeps kids active and off the couch. Myachi, pronounced mee-ah-chee, is a sand filled handsack, about 3 x 1.5 inches (10 x 4 cm) in size. The handsack is tossed around on the back of the hand in any number of ways. Any surface of the body can be used, except for the palms. The point of the game is to toss the sack on the back of your hand without letting it hit the ground. There are quite a variety of games that can be played, both alone and with groups.
