Kids love stickers, we know that. But, stickers can be a real pain in the neck to remove, especially if they are placed on things that shouldn’t have stickers on them. Check out my old desk in the picture to the right. This was my childhood desk and I have set it up for my 2 1/2 year old to use. Problem is, I had a screw loose when I was three or so and covered it in emergency phone number stickers. Thirty-five years later and I am stuck figuring out how to get them off. For the past few days, I have been covering them with vegetable oil to soften them. Seems to be working so far, but certainly not an instant remedy. I am trying to complete this process without having to use anything with harsh chemicals, but sometimes, that may be the online solution. If you have sticker issues, here is a good online resource for how to remove them.
If you have any magic tricks of your own, please share them by posting in the comments area. We’d love to hear from you!

July 3, 2009try using some shout stain remover. gel type works best, but regular also will work. it usually will soften the sticker up enough to use plastic spatula to get rest off.
goo be gone is the fall back if nothing else works- it ALWAYS does!
